Hello beautiful people! My name is MoNique and I am so excited that you are here. I have considered the idea of writing blogs for quite some time now but never got around to doing it. I share so much of my life on other social media platforms like Instagram, youtube (once upon a time), and now TikTok.. a space that makes me feel much older than I actually am (Genz, yall are killin it lol).
When I created my brand I knew that I would mainly be reaching an audience of educators but I also knew that myself and my audience were far more than JUST TEACHERS. That is how I decided on the name “It’s MoNique’s World”.
When I decided to start sharing all things in my world: teaching, home, family, friends, learning how to cook (cooking with momo), chpumpkins (if you know you know 😉 )I knew that I had value to add to this community but I had no idea of what a blessing it would be.
What started as “MoNique’s Quick Tip” quickly turned into youtube videos, teachers pay teachers resources,
hosting at teaching conferences, presenting to other educators nationwide, collaborating with brands I love, t- shirts, viral videos, television show appearances, and even a published children’s book! Yes, yall. I’m a real-life author (that still feels weird to say).
So with all that being said, I decided that the things I have to say and share are far too important to get lost in a grid or only be stored in one space. I want my future children and grandchildren to be able to read about my adventures when I am no longer here to tell about them. I want to be able to look back at these posts and remember exciting times in my classroom and my life.
So I guess amongst many other things I am officially a blogger. Please be kind y’all. I have no idea how often I will post. I 1,000% did not look up any blogging 101 videos. Much like everything else I do I’m posting today because it felt right and I felt encouraged. I hope that as I continue on this journey I share things that you find helpful or bring you joy.
As I get ready to click PUBLISH and prepare for a Monday of teaching kindergarten I want to thank you for taking the time to read my first ever blog post.
Sending you so much love!
